Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2013

I’m a big fan of the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals collaboration, and each season Jeremy Scott always brings his unique perspective of fashion to the table, often referencing pop culture from the past to the present. Jeremy never fails to surprise, for Fall/Winter 2013 adidas it’ss a fusion of ideas; shock neon colors, metallic materials and reinterpreted prints from the past are used on some of adidas’ most iconic styles.

Carried throughout the collection is a take on camo with a neon twist featured on a ladies satin buster, unisex down puffer jacket and the JS Instinct Hi, while a reversible floral print bomber is just as attention-grabbing. Jeremy’s money print – used on his first collaboration with adidas for his Isign project – is brought back to life on the JS Wings 2.0. Other sneakers have been given a little sparkle, with lamé used on the JS Zebra and JS Bear, and wings added to the ladies wedge shoe.

The collection is slated to hit adidas Originals stores and online at the end July.

RACISM REGARDING THE ALL STAR GAME

RACISM is alive and well in the United States of America!! Can’t say I am surprised!! I usually write about Fashion, but today I am choosing to write about a topic that is really upsetting to me: RACISM ! I can’t believe that there are people out there who breathe the same air as me, who share this point of view.

Just because I am Spanish doesn’t mean I am Mexican or that I don’t deserve the same respect as the rest of the world! My parents immigrated to this country for a better life for their unborn children. They left a beautiful life behind them in their country filled with culture and overflowing love to come here, to the United States, for a “better” life, and what do they get? people that in the year 2013 still think with dirty hearts. Racism is the fear of the unknown. It’s being scared of something you don’t know about and have no knowledge of, but instead of embarrassing it and trying to understand it, you choose to back away from it. It is all ignorance and we live it everyday…

I am posting the below so that everyone can see how shameful it is for this country that claims to be the land of the free, to harvest people with such a deteriorated mentally. These are our terrorists people…. these people below are ruining our humanity.

Why, it’s New York born, United States citizen of Puerto Rican descent, Marc Anthony!

Look at this 100% American grammy award winning recording artist sing ‘God Bless AMERICA’ at the All-Star game. Absolutely disgusting. And the All-Star game was at Citi Field in NYC borough of Queens too! We can’t let this happen in Queens, the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world!

Spanish people!? Heartbreaking! We cannot let America become some sort of melting pot!

Yeah! Shouldn’t you be FROM America!? Like, sorry, New York City just doesn’t cut it.

Yeah, America! CLEAN. IT. UP. And “it” being anyone who LOOKS foreign!

But, Marc Anthony IS an American artist…

haha. Silly me. That doesn’t matter. HE MAKES A LIVING SINGING SONGS IN SPANISH. The devil’s language! And making a living from such a thing? A crime in the good ole’ U.S. of A!

And why get someone who makes money off of singing in some foreign language when you can get a true patriotic American…like Ke$ha!

Yeah! Mexicans, Castro, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Marc Anthony…they’re all the same anyway!

“Marc Anthony? Unamerican! Marc Anthony is Spanish!”

And there lies the real issue. The fact that Marc Anthony is an American citizen born in the United States does not matter. The point here is someone who is “NOT LIKE US” (white males) can not be a REAL American!

You see. Marc Anthony is from New York…but he doesn’t LOOK like it. I assume the last time Josh here has been to New York was about 100 years ago. But, what is the world coming to now-a-days!

And you can see here again. Being of Puerto Rican descent means you’re not a TRUE American. I mean, what do you think? It isn’t like Puerto Rico’s a part of the United States or something!

But hey, at least there’s one racist out there who sees the irony in this all…

Levi’s Shapewear Jeans ‘Revel’ Will Give You A Lift

For some of us, shapewear is a vital part of every outfit. So imagine the time we’d save if Spanx were actually built in to our clothing!

Well, we don’t have to imagine for much longer. Though we’ve heard rumors of Spanx jeans in the past, someone else beat them to the punch: Today, Levi’s revealed plans for Revel, a new line of body-shaping jeans.

Innovating the label’s Curve ID line, which markets denim fits to a woman’s specific degree of curves, Revel jeans pledge to combine figure-slimming materials with the classic denim you know and love.

“Levi’s Revel takes that curve innovation one step further by actively shaping a woman’s body, giving her the legs and butt she always wanted,” said Jill Guenza, Levi’s vice president of women’s design. How thoughtful! As for the technology behind your new behind, Women’s Wear Daily breaks it down:

Levi’s starts with a four-way stretch fabric comprised of cotton, polyester, Lycra and DuPont’s Sorona fiber. It then prints a proprietary liquid chemical formula on the fabric interior that regulates the level of stretch in strategic areas, providing structure, support and a figure-hugging shape to the jean, rather than simply uniform stretch. “It controls the stretch in those areas, much as compressionwear does. But rather than using visible reinforced panels, we use the application of the liquid-stretch technology,” explained Guenza. “The result is a jean that carves out the inner thigh, slims and smooths the outer thigh, lifts the seat and flattens the tummy.”

Hey, I’ve seen weirder shapewear! Levi’s Revel will debut on their website in indigo and black skinny and straight styles on August 4, then roll out to retail stores. What’s next, Levi’s? Spanx-ified overalls?

adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony A/W 2013 Lookbook

I’m obsessed with the adidas Originals x Opening Ceremony collaboration. It looks incredible!

This is it’s third season and now the two labels took inspiration from the stylistic elements of two sports: rock climbing and basketball. Repurposing iconic elements of archival adidas designs and charging it with Opening Ceremony’s signature Joie de Vivre. The clothing and footwear collection is the best of sporty chic, look out for the range starting this month to September.

The Air Revolution Sky His features the original model reconstructed to fit the slimmer, high-heeled stylings to fit the women’s foot. There will be eight colorways for the Spring 2013, I’m sure there will be more if this style is a hit which I feel it will be! I’m currently obsessing over it, can’t wait to get my hands on a pair!
