Reebok Classic and celebrity jewelry designer Melody Ehsani have teamed up again with a new shoe after a successful first release of the Betwixt Mid last year. The new Reebok Classic “M.E. Betwixt Mid” is complete with a studded heel and metallic upper, perfect for those female sneakerheads that love a bold shoe.

“The design of this shoe started off being inspired by a quote by my mentor Julie Walker. ‘Love is the only nutrient in the world that can be expressed.’ This connected with me, because I believe that all my products actually contain the love that I put into them, and that’s what makes them special. There were certain elements of the shoe I wanted to make personal- so I hand wrote some of my beliefs and wishes in the lining of the shoe. I wanted to update the shoe from the classic python print I had selected before, but still wanted them to keep that edge. The metallic python was a perfect juxtaposition. The shoes have dimension and showcase beauty with an edge.” ~ Melody Ehsani

Levi’s Shapewear Jeans ‘Revel’ Will Give You A Lift

For some of us, shapewear is a vital part of every outfit. So imagine the time we’d save if Spanx were actually built in to our clothing!

Well, we don’t have to imagine for much longer. Though we’ve heard rumors of Spanx jeans in the past, someone else beat them to the punch: Today, Levi’s revealed plans for Revel, a new line of body-shaping jeans.

Innovating the label’s Curve ID line, which markets denim fits to a woman’s specific degree of curves, Revel jeans pledge to combine figure-slimming materials with the classic denim you know and love.

“Levi’s Revel takes that curve innovation one step further by actively shaping a woman’s body, giving her the legs and butt she always wanted,” said Jill Guenza, Levi’s vice president of women’s design. How thoughtful! As for the technology behind your new behind, Women’s Wear Daily breaks it down:

Levi’s starts with a four-way stretch fabric comprised of cotton, polyester, Lycra and DuPont’s Sorona fiber. It then prints a proprietary liquid chemical formula on the fabric interior that regulates the level of stretch in strategic areas, providing structure, support and a figure-hugging shape to the jean, rather than simply uniform stretch. “It controls the stretch in those areas, much as compressionwear does. But rather than using visible reinforced panels, we use the application of the liquid-stretch technology,” explained Guenza. “The result is a jean that carves out the inner thigh, slims and smooths the outer thigh, lifts the seat and flattens the tummy.”

Hey, I’ve seen weirder shapewear! Levi’s Revel will debut on their website in indigo and black skinny and straight styles on August 4, then roll out to retail stores. What’s next, Levi’s? Spanx-ified overalls?

I’m really feeling the new H&M Conscious Exclusive collection for Spring 2013. The collection features clothing and accessories for both men and women, and is part of H&M’s Conscious work to offer more sustainable fashion. The collection is made of materials including organic cotton, recycled polyester, recycled polyamide and Tencel.

The Conscious Exclusive collection will be available in around 140 stores worldwide as well as online from April 4, 2013.

The partywear collection was inspired by Old Hollywood consisting of gowns and sharp tailoring for women, and a rock and roll red carpet style for men. I’m especially loving the lace dress featured in the picture above, definitely need it! Affordable pricing and chic looks, AND good for the environment!! -You can’t go wrong 😉

Beyoncé looks AMAZING in H&M‘s new summer 2013 ad campaign!

Beyoncé will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the H&M summer collection. The print and outdoor billboards introduce “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M”, the idea that all women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun, flirtatious. The campaign images were shot in Nassau in the Bahamas by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, while the commercial was directed by Jonas Åkerlund. The commercial highlights the opposing nature of the four basic elements and will be available to view online in its entirety, with edited versions for TV. The commercial also features a new song from Beyoncé, Standing On The Sun, which will be available worldwide online and hm.com beginning May.

“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial,” says Beyoncé.

The summer campaign features swimwear and beachwear pieces as well as a tie-dye bikini from this summer’s H&M for Water collection. 25% of sales from the H&M for Water collection will be donated to H&M for WaterAid. The clothing will be available beginning May in H&M stores worldwide and online.

On a previous post I showed H&M‘s Conscious Collection featuring actress/singer Vanessa Paradis, now here’s a look at the menswear and Divided collection. The full women’s collection will be available in H&M stores worldwide as well as online from March 25th, alongside Conscious collections for men – blazers, chinos, Ikat print shirts and shorts – as well as fun prints for kids and babies.

Coinciding with the campaign will be the launch of a Conscious garment collecting action at H&M. Customers will be able to bring any unwanted garments from any label to selected stores, and in return for each bag receive an H&M voucher, to a maximum of two bags per customer per day. H&M is the first store to encourage garment return on this scale, in an effort to prevent clothing from going to landfill.

LOVE the laid back-ness of all the looks! Makes me think of relaxing spring days….Can’t wait to shop this collection 🙂

Zara just released its February 2013 lookbook for the TRF line, as always the stylin’ of the looks are on point. The collection featured lots of ethnic inspirations. I’m always a fan of Zara’s new collections. I LOVE the embellished vests, denim button down shirts, embroidered jackets, ethnic print jeans and army green pieces!
