Lulu Guinness Next in Line for a Uniqlo T-Shirt Collaboration

Lulu Guinness’s next step? Launching a t-shirt collection with Uniqlo. “All the girls in my office are so excited about it.”

Images of the collab are yet to be released, but I’ll keep you posted on the looks and the launch date. Until then, let’s admire all of her other pieces.

Louis Vuitton Resort 2012

I WANT IT ALL!!  TRULY BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION.

Sofia Coppola has collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a capsule collection of shoes and bags in the past, but for the brand’s Resort 2012 collection, her sphere of influence was taken a bit further. Coppola chose the venue for the presentation — the Pool Room of the Four Seasons Hotel in New York — and served as”official muse” for the collection — which was based on her personal style — consulting on all areas of design.

“Oh my God, for me it’s really fun,” Coppola said. “I’m happy to give my opinion of, I wish I could have this or that.” The collection’s Eiffel Tower print, for instance, is a nod to her current hometown of Paris. “I told [Vuitton design director Julie De Libran] I want a new wardrobe,” Coppola added — and thus, the collection is based on her favorite shapes, including a denim tunic dress.

Vans Makes Custom Hermes Sneakers (But Only If You Are A VIP)

Yesterday, Hermès heads were tripping on Moda Operandi’s 27-strong bag sale. Today, it’s O.D. territory, big-time—Bryanboy posted some candy-colored photos of Robert Verdi’s Vans. The stylist got the shoe company to customize his kicks using some of his old Hermès silk scarves. Here’s when I’m get jealous. I would die for these…… which is your fav?

Diane von Furstenberg x GapKids and babyGap

As I reported a few weeks ago, the rumor has now been confirmed. After the successful collaboration of the Stella McCartney for GapKids and babyGap comes a new collection by Diane von Furstenberg. The collection is expected to be available for purchase to customers in March 2012 through GapKids and babyGap stores in almost 30 countries including United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, France, China, Japan and Australia as well as online in 75 countries.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to build on Gap’s successful past collaborations and develop this collection with Diane, a true American fashion icon and inspiration to women around the world,” said Art Peck, President of Gap brand, North America. “I’m also looking forward to offering our customers an exciting collection that applies her signature approach to print, optimistic color and femininity, mixed with our expertise in great quality premium children’s clothing at accessible prices.”

Diane von Furstenberg comments, “As a proud mother and grandmother I am so excited to create a capsule collection for children with the superstar retailer, Gap.”

Can’t wait to see the collection! Excited!

Rompers To One-Up Your Summer Style

Top Shop Pink Spacedye Knotback Playsuit, $55, available at Top Shop.

It’s my summer plight to dress chic-yet-sensible enough that I don’t melt away quicker than the Wicked Witch of the West. My weapon of choice? A pretty, grown-up jumpsuit. I’ve selected 18 ways to one-up your style in rompers and jumpsuits that are lightweight and flattering to a range of beach bods (not to mention a range of wallets). Whether your taste is clean and simple or open to playful patterns, I’ve got it covered.

I’m Buggin’ Out About The New Made Her Think And Mandy Coon Collab!

The only way I like bugs, as my jewelry! Accompanying the arrival of warmer weather is its uninvited guest, the pesky insect. This summer, I’m switching gears and welcoming the non-living version, Meredith Kahn’s bug-inspired jewelry designs for the Made Her Think collaboration with designer Mandy Coon. The collection consists of four beetle-like black gunmetal and Rhodium-based pieces (a ring, necklace, small and large brooches), some with leather snakeskin and Swarovski crystal detail in ruby, greige, emerald, and jet hermatite. While beetles are mostly harmless, the menacing horns and edgy details take a walk (or fly) on the darker side, characteristic with both MHT and Mandy Coon’s style. The collection was shown alongside Mandy Coon’s fall ’11 line at Lincoln Center during Fashion Week and will be shipping this summer. Better scoop up these buggy accessories in the pre-sale because style junkies are sure to be swarming. The pieces start at $223 and will be available on Bonadrag and Eva NY, and for pre-sale here.

Z Spoke by Zac Posen Resort 2012

Easy-to-wear separates in an easy-on-the-eyes palette permeate the Z Spoke Resort 2012 offering. The inky palette and subdued mood that were the hallmark of the Fall 2011 Z Spoke collection have lightened up a bit, giving way to a selection of pieces that hit a slightly more playful note: a cherry red silk anorak with a drawstring peplum-waist; a pale blue wide-leg pantsuit in slubby tweed; and plenty of sweet fit-n-flare frocks in all kinds of chiffon and polka dots. It’s a youthful outing for Posen, and one that’s perfectly reflected in his choice of lookbook model —  Lindsey Wixson. This collection is def a must have for the working fashionista 😉

Marc Jacobs Resort 2012

Fresh off being no longer deemed “cool” by the New York Times (whoever said that must’ve not taken their meds that morning), he submitted his latest collection — for Resort 2012 — full of nonchalant striped sweatshirts, tank dresses, and anoraks. Absent of “theme” on purpose, Jacobs instead focused the collection on motifs — particularly two prints derived from wallpaper rolls: an oversized paisley pattern and one of pastel daisies. Must I tell you guys once more why I love Marc Jacobs soooooo much? No, just see for yourselves while I faint… lol
