Kelly looks great, the campaign was shot in NYC in late April in tourist spots like Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Soho, the West Village, Little Italy and Chinatown. I’ve also included some behind-the-scenes images of Madonna, Kelly and Lola below. 😉

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2011 Lookbook

I’ve been anxiously waiting for the release of the Jeremy Scott for adidas Originals by Originals Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook and finally it’s here!!! I love the collaboration and hope the partnership will never end! Previously you’ve seen the super cute Panda Sneakers which were available for pre-order, now here’s the full lookbook! I’m in love, how cute is the Panda Sneaker and the Panda Top?! I WANT!!!

For Fall/Winter 2011, Jeremy Scott brings in products influenced by urban jungle and military fashion. Jeremy also introduces two versions of adidas Originals Denim in this collection: The JS Wings Cupie Jeans, slim-fitting denim jeans featuring Jeremy’s signature wings on both front pockets, as well as JS Bondage Rekord Jeans featuring a green leopard print design all over, as well as a removable backside skirt and a removable bondage-inspired buckle strap that keeps the legs fashionably restrained.

The collection will be released to international selected accounts and worldwide adidas Originals stores in August and October 2011. The collection comprises 36 apparel pieces and 12 footwear styles for both men and women. Apparel prices range from $60 to $800. Footwear ranges from $70 to $350.

Summer Beauty Essentials

Summer beauty usually means three things—dry shampoo, sunscreen, and waterproof mascara—all of which you probably have by now. (If not, try our essentials by Rene Furterer, Neutrogena, and Clinique. But rather than addressing the obvious categories, we wanted to go a step beyond and talk about some of the top new products on the market. From melt-proof makeup to must-have hair care products, I’ve rounded up a handful of amazing items that are sure to keep you looking pretty and polished all season long! So get ready, dear readers, because you’re about to fall in love with some new favorites…

Benefit ChaChaTint ($29)
When the humidity index is as high as the temperature is outside, the thought of wearing a heavy lipstick is not so appealing. That’s why I love a lip tint at this time of year: you get long-lasting color without having to wear a weighty product! And on that note, the one you should buy is the newest stain from Benefit Cosmetics, ChaChaTint. It’s a sweet-but-statement-making peachy-mango color, which is the perfect compliment to a (faux) tan! It looks good on lots of different skin types and actually stays wherever you apply it—cheeks or lips—making it a summer essential!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils ($20)
Regular readers know that we swear by Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils ($18), which stay on amazingly well, no matter how much you sweat and/or cry (hopefully just the former). Accordingly, I’m just as keen on the newest iteration of this must-have product: the Glide-On Shadow Pencil. Creamy, long-wearing, and available in 12 great colors—including Midnight Cowboy, a sparkly champagne shadow that’s beyond amazing—these pencils are a girl’s best friend for fuss-free, flawless eye makeup!

La Prairie Anti-Aging Hydra Tint Crème SPF 20 ($100)
When it comes to trendy nail polishes or of-the-moment glosses, I love a thrifty thrill, but when buying products for our faces—especially things like concealer and foundation—I’m happy to make an investment. Currently I’m obsessed with La Prairie’s new Anti-Aging Hydra Tint Cream SPF 20, which is perfectly lightweight, yet somehow manages to conceal all our skin flaws. In addition to giving you an airbrushed complexion, the formula has a nice amount of SPF coverage and is loaded with antioxidants, so you can combat the sun’s harsh UV rays and age spots while simultaneously looking gorgeous!

TIGI Bed Head Colour Combat Shampoo and Conditioner ($16.95-$17.95)
As any native Southern California girl knows—or beach lover in general—the sun can really ravage your natural-looking-but-salon-bought hair color. While wearing a hat for your outdoor activities is always an option, realistically, I know that won’t always happen. Happily, there’s another option to keep your locks from fading: TIGI Bed Head’s new Colour Combat products. They help keep your hair the hue that you want it to be, plus, they smell delish! Available in two formulas—Colour Goddess for redheads and brunettes and Dumb Blonde for, well, you know—this line is both perfectly edited (only three products) and totally on point. Buy it now and stay un-brassy forever!

Dior Addict Lipstick ($28) in Fire
While orange lipstick is all the rage, most ladies I know do not really adore the way that color looks on them. Happily, you can get a touch of the trend in a much more wearable way with this perfect lipstick. It’s a wonderful red-orange that’s sheer enough for the demure, but bold and pigmented enough for the lipstick lovers out there. In fact, the only thing I don’t love about this killer lipstick is the fact that it is a limited-edition shade for summer! It’s seriously that good…

Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer ($16) in Girls Just Want To Have Fun and Lara’s Theme
If there’s one thing we can count on each season it’s that Deborah Lippman is going to create some of the key colors I want to wear on my fingers and toes. She’s spot-on for summer with these two majorly gorgeous polishes, the pinky-coral Girls Just Want To Have Fun and the va-va-va-voom orange of Lara’s Theme, which was created with the one and only Ms. Lara Stone. You can buy one or the other, but I suggest picking up both, especially since they look so lovely together!

Kerastase Chroma Sensitive Ultra-Gentle Cleansing Balm ($42)
Another revolutionary hair care series on the market for summer is Kerastase’s Chroma Sensitive line, which includes this amazing cleansing balm. It’s very creamy and low-foam, so you can remove grime and impurities without stripping your hair. It’s particularly helpful right after you color your hair—the Kerastase team recommends using it for the first three post-salon shampoos, then alternate with their Reflection Bain and Masque—but I also like it after a day in the sun.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins ($6.50)
Bobby pins have always been our go-to when creating summer up-dos and buns, but frankly I haven’t used them once since trying Goody’s incredible Spin Pins. No kidding: these things will change your life! Unlike regular pins, these spiral ones twist into your hair, anchoring it securely with absolutely no effort! Two pins will work for almost all hair types (you might need more if you have crazy-thick hair), which means you can get a ballerina bun or a chic chignon in seconds, literally. Buy them now and you’ll be thanking us all summer long!

MadeMe Fall/Winter 2011 Collection

I  love MadeMe’s outerwear and this new Fall/Winter 2011 collection is no exception. The new collection is super small but it consists of great pieces including a limited edition MadeMe x Schott NYC leather motorcycle jacket with a Liberty of London floral lining. The jacket is limited to just 70 pieces. For the lookbook, MadeMe enlisted model of the moment Andrej Pejic as the face of the new collection. My favorite piece is the new red Team Jacket, crafted from Canadian Melton Wool, with the phrase “¿Quién Es Esa Niña?” (which means “Who’s that girl?”) embroidered over the right breast. I love varsity/stadium jackets and this will be a perfect addition to my closet!  😉 Also, there are two printed Japanese chambray shirts, available in polka dot and floral prints. The collection hits retail in October, with an online pre-sale starting today.

Gwyneth Paltrow for Topshop?

The Daily Mail reports that Gwynnie was spotted dining in London, without makeup nonetheless, with Sir Philip Green. Which can only mean one thing, right? Topshop collab! The actress/cook/author/blogger/country singer/Glee star/mom is probably ready to add another slash to her resume. While nothing is confirmed and this is mere speculation based on a single dinner, it’s not a completely outrageous assumption. Gwyneth has enjoyed good relationships with designers through the years, has a great sense of her own style, is now iconic enough to pull off a line of her own (especially with the design prowess of Topshop behind her), and is going through a bit of a creative period right now. Not to mention she lives in the UK for a good chunk of the year and could be very involved in such a project. While her design experience is limited to a small capsule collection she did for French brand ZOEtee’s and a t-shirt for Uniqlo, she’s obviously had some experience in front of the fashion camera. She’s now the face of Coach, and has done stints for Tod’s, Christian Dior, and Esteé Lauder. I’m waiting anxiously to see how this turns out. If a collab actually materializes, I’m sure it will be tasteful perfection, just like Gwynnie herself. .

Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Charlotte Ronson’s Half Sister and Muse, is Designing a Clothing Line

One of the youngest members of the Ronson/Dexter-Jones family, Annabelle also has that effortlessly cool quality that every one of them seems to have been born with. She has great style and an unconventionally adorable look. Her half sister Charlotte Ronson, whose show she walks in every season, has called Annabelle her muse. Aside from that, she’s mostly known for being in Purple Diary a lot and dating French graffiti artist and nightclub owner André Saraiva.

But now, she tells WWD in an article about Saraiva, Annabelle is working on something of her own–a clothing line. “It’ll be super girly, kind of like me,” she said. It will be hard not to draw comparisons between her and Charlotte; then again, the fact that they have different last names could prevent that. No word yet on what the line will be called, but she plans to unveil it next February in New York. As far as we know, she has no formal design training but if the undeniable success of pretty much her entire family is any indication, Annabelle’s line will probably be awesome.

Smurfette Style: Accessories That Pop!

In honor of the new Smurfs movie, out July 29, Harper’s Bazaar shot the only lady Smurf, Smurfette, for a fashion spread in the mag’s August issue which hits newsstands July 12. The editorial highlights accessories (it’s hard to find designer close in Smurfette size) and in these pix, she’s wearing fall Louis Vuitton and Lanvin. Everything looks good with blue it turns out. 😉

That ’70s Show: Alice + Olivia’s Resort 2012 Lookbook Has Arrived

Swoon! Stacey Bendet has done it again. I  rang in Summer Solstice by ogling Alice + Olivia’s Resort 2012 lookbook and, of course, I’m smitten. In a departure from last season’s more romantic, girly ensembles, the Resort ’12 lookbook it all about retro silhouettes and saturated candy-colors that pack a punch. Mod dresses and maxi skirts are perfectly punctuated by wide-brimmed, divalicious hats, waists are defined by chunky belts, and funky plastic accessories complete the looks that all exude a modern play on the ’70s trend that’s oh, so popular. The purple jumpsuit definitely brings to mind sultry supermodel Veruscka, while the mini-mod dresses are Twiggy all the way. Perhaps what was most noticeable is the mix of black and white prints intermingling with the bold colors, which gives a sophisticated edge to this otherwise bright and playful collection. Sigh, I’m so ready to take these retro looks for a spin at the beach immediately…can you say summer vacation?

Run This Town: Jay-Z’s Opening A Nolita Pop-Up Shop!!!

There are so many Jay-Z lyrics applicable to his new endeavor, a pop-up Rocawear store in Nolita opening Monday, that I just don’t know where to start. “Big Pimpin’?” “Let’s hear it for New York,” “Now can I get an encore,” the list goes on and on. Yep, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is aiming to up his clothing line’s cred with not only a new online marketing campaign, but also a Mulberry Street temporary boutique that will act as a brand showcase. Rocawear will invite celebs, tastemakers, and the like to hang out and tape testimonials at the space that will then be posted on ThatsRocawear.com. According to WWD , Jay-Z is re-positioning Rocawear from an urban line to a more modern, accessible aesthetic. “We are a great American brand. We don’t envision ourselves as an urban brand or streetwear brand,” Jay-Z told the paper. “We wanted to show people how we’ve evolved and repositioned ourselves, without abandoning our original DNA.” Sounds like a good “Blueprint” to me. 😉
