H&M launches a new collection inspired by off-duty models wardrobe such as Joan Smalls, Daphne Groeneveld, Lindsey Wixon and Liu Wen called The New Icons. Loving the pre-summer collection of fashion essentials and accessories, the campaign features Joan, Daphne, Lindsey and Liu themselves. This collection is edgy with a hint of laid back to it. Love this collection…

H&M Conscious Collection 2012: Mens & Divided

H&M Conscious Collection 2012 Mens + Divided

Photos courtesy of H&M

On a previous post I showed H&M‘s Conscious Collection featuring actress/singer Vanessa Paradis, now here’s a look at the menswear and Divided collection. The full women’s collection will be available in H&M stores worldwide as well as online from March 25th, alongside Conscious collections for men – blazers, chinos, Ikat print shirts and shorts – as well as fun prints for kids and babies.

Coinciding with the campaign will be the launch of a Conscious garment collecting action at H&M. Customers will be able to bring any unwanted garments from any label to selected stores, and in return for each bag receive an H&M voucher, to a maximum of two bags per customer per day. H&M is the first store to encourage garment return on this scale, in an effort to prevent clothing from going to landfill.

LOVE the laid back-ness of all the looks! Makes me think of relaxing spring days….Can’t wait to shop this collection 🙂

Forever 21 just launched a new campaign for its Festival 2013 Capsule Collection featuring recording artist Sky Ferreira as the face of the new collection. The collection comes just in time for the Coachella music festival, which takes place next month. The campaign was shot by fashion photographer David Roemer at the Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs (a Joie de Vivre Hotel). The collection highlights a range of festival favorites and must-haves like dip-dye denim, lace-up details, studded embellishments, crochet, bold colors and patterns, crop tops, desert ready sheer styles, and bandeaus. Cute stuff!

Watch out for an exclusive music video by Forever 21 featuring Sky’s single “Lost In My Bedroom” from her EP Ghost, coming soon.

Rihanna x MAC Cosmetics

Rihanna x MAC Cosmetics

My favorite bad gal Rihanna is on a roll with collaborations, the latest is with MAC Cosmetics. According to WWD, it will be long-term relationship, there will be four collections, to be known as RiRi [Hearts] MAC. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have shot the campaign for the fall and holiday collections. I can’t wait to see the campaign and collection!

The first product to launch will be RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by her favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo. Its release will coincide with Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concerts on May 4 and 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where MAC will open a pop-up shop on the first night to showcase the line. Her name will appear on the packaging, and her signature will be embossed on the RiRi Woo lipstick case and on the bullets of the summer lipsticks, as well as several of the fall and holiday pieces.

The signature piece of the lineup, RiRi Woo, will be sold with all four collections. The summer collection also includes two additional lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. Fall’s 16 sku’s include four lipsticks, a deeply pigmented Lipglass version of RiRi Woo, two multishade eye shadow palettes and false lashes. (“She likes to wear two pairs at a time,” said Jennifer Balbier, MAC’s senior vice president of global product development, in an aside.) Holiday will bring another 10 items, including nail polish, a makeup bag and additional lipsticks.

Nike Dunk Sky High City Pack

Nike Dunk Sky High City Pack

FAV sneaks of the moment have to be the Nike Dunk Sky High! They are super comfortable, stylish and the wedge gives that much needed extra lift.

Nike just released a collection of Dunk Sky High shoes inspired by the fashion capitals of the world. Cities include London, Milan, New York, Paris and Tokyo, each pair is veneered with premium materials reminiscent of each city culminating in the release of the Nike Dunk Sky High City Pack.

The New York pair released today Feb. 8, just in time for fashion week. “New York is commonly known for its all-black-everything demeanor. The Nike Dunk Sky High New York features a metallic reptilian upper with black pony hair quarter panels and a patent leather Swoosh logo to complete its edgy but luxurious finish.”

I fell for these the moment I saw them ! They are to die for!! I might need them all for my collection. 😉

Which city is your favorite pair?

Nike Dunk Sky High City PackNike Dunk Sky High Milan
Milan is known as a city of craft and refined detailing. The Nike Dunk Sky Hi Milan pays homage to its heritage of classic luggage making with a crocodile embossed leather upper, buttery tan leather panels and gold embellishments.

Nike Dunk Sky High City PackNike Dunk Sky High London
London boasts a vivid music culture that has forever cemented plaid as a symbol of rebellion. The Nike Dunk Sky Hi London is imagined through a vibrant red plaid pleated fabric upper that is finished off with a complimentary green patent leather Swoosh logo for extra attitude.

Nike Dunk Sky High City PackNike Dunk Sky High Paris
Paris is commonly referred to as the city of romance. The Nike Dunk Sky Hi Paris is finished off with a pale-based tweed pattern that represents the grit of an urban city colliding with a feminine aesthetic. The interwoven fabric upper is accented with supple white leather details making texture yet another parallel to the city’s cultural contrast.

Nike Dunk Sky High City PackNike Dunk Sky High Tokyo
And finally, the Nike Dunk Sky Hi Tokyo reveals the personality of a city driven by an insatiable desire for high tech while rooted in a tradition that is distinctly Japanese craftsmanship. The clash between the old and the new, craft versus sci-fi pop culture, is reflected in the use of fine felted beige material accented with futuristic eye-catching iridescent details.
