Anna Dello Russo at H&M Accessories Collection

Anna Dello Russo at H&M Accessories Collection

Just when the collab world is lacking some news, H&M announces a special accessories collaboration with Fashion Director of Vogue Japan Anna Dello Russo. We all know how AdR is obsessed with fashion and H&M always puts out good stuff, so I’m sure this collab will be pretty amazing. From the preview it’s looking pretty exciting already! The collection features jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and a trolley at H&M’s affordable price. Available from October 4, 2012 in around 140 H&M stores worldwide and online.

“I am excited by this collaboration: this is the first time H&M involves a Fashion Director in a special project. This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it. I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find. As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day”, says Anna Dello Russo.

“It’s been extremely exciting to involve Anna Dello Russo in this project, something completely different from what we have done before. Anna has a fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion icon. She has produced an extravagant range of accessories that will get H&M customers, and everyone in love with fashion, excited. The collection is a celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration” says Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M.

Are you excited about the collaboration? Can’t wait to see the full collection!

H&M WaterAid Collection 2012 Preview

H&M WaterAid Collection 2012 Preview

Every summer H&M launches a collection with the international charity WaterAid to help raise money for the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and improving hygiene. This year is the 10th year and 25% of the sales price of the H&M for Water collection will be donated to the organization WaterAid. This year the collection features Hawaii-inspired resort wear, consisting of beachwear and accessories for the whole family.

The Hawaii-inspired collection features flower prints and pastel colors that comes together with a 60s feeling, highlighted with bikinis and swimwear. The collection also includes Hawaii-inspired accessories. All the cotton used in the collection is organic, and there is also a focus on sustainability. There are 13 garments for women, 3 garments for men, 11 garments for children and around 12 accessories as well as bath sheets and a beach kit with beach ball, air-bed and string bag.

Here are a few pieces from the collection, this is just a preview of what to expect. The collection always looks fresh and clean, I like the prints and the sunglasses are fun too. I can’t wait to see the entire collection. The collection will be sold starting May 31st in around 200 H&M stores worldwide.

H&M Exclusive Conscious Evening Wear Collection

20120323-182327.jpg

Wow! H&M never fails to impress! H&M has created the Exclusive Conscious collection of red carpet looks that have all been made from more sustainable materials as part of H&M’s Conscious initiative.

The collection has already been seen on the red carpet. Amanda Seyfried wore the blue tuxedo blazer and shorts at a London premiere, while Oscar nominee Viola Davis has been seen in the hot-pink sleeveless top and skirt. Kristin Davis wore the apple green embroidered dress to a Vanity Fair event, and Michelle Williams wore an H&M custom-made gold-draped organic cotton bodice with a satin-backed crepe trumpet skirt at this year’s BAFTAs in London. A top and skirt inspired by Michelle’s exclusive gown will be available in selected H&M stores when the Exclusive Conscious collection is launched.

I want the ULTIMATE RED CARPET dress (pictured above)! This glamorous evening dress, made in creamy white organic cotton and silk bouclé at the top, with an organza crease plissé meringue skirt, comes as a limited edition of 1,000, each individually numbered.

Here’s a pick of this Exclusive Conscious collection, which will be available from April 12th in around 100 stores H&M worldwide, as well as selected looks online (where available). Love the looks on Constance Jablonski. Which is your favorite look?

For Divided, the floral tops and printed T-shirts are made in 100% recycled polyester, while shorts are made in recycled cotton.

MEN: For men, it’s a preppy spring wardrobe, with crew-neck T-shirts in pale pink, grey, blue and white, a stripe vest, and a pair of tailored shorts. For a smarter look, shirts come in checks, block colour or a leaf print, while there are smart pleat-front trousers in more sustainable cotton &polyester, as well as belts, sunglasses and cotton espadrilles.
