Versace for H&M !!

The moment the world has been waiting for…H&M announced their next designer collaboration will be with VERSACE! I did find it a bit surprising but especially this time since Donatella Versace did say she wasn’t quite interested in a H&M collaboration back in 2008. Anyway, I guess H&M’s creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch is that good! “I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” says Donatella Versace.

Designed by its creative director Donatella Versace, the exclusive collection will recall the vibrant heritage of the brand, complete with leather, prints, color, and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices. The collection will include lines for both women and men and selected pieces for the home.

The US will release the collection on November 19th in select stores. The collection will be available in about 300 stores worldwide. In addition, Donatella Versace has also designed a pre-spring collection for H&M which will be exclusively available in countries with H&M on-line sales from January 19, 2012.

H&M x UNICEF All for Children

I love the cute kid’s styles offered at H&M. I don’t have kids of my own just yet but I can’t wait to put them in all these cute little clothes whenever I do. 😉

H&M announced their support for UNICEF/All for Children initiative with a special collection of fashionable clothes for kids. Seriously the collection looks so good, I wish I can fit into the kids clothes! The collection will be available in 160 stores worldwide and also on-line, 25% of all sales from the All for Children collection will go directly to support UNICEF’s projects to promote children’s rights to education and protection among vulnerable communities

For girls there are dresses, skirts, shorts and gilets, with floral prints, bow-tie decorations and stripe trimmings, all in autumnal colors of nude, mole and coral. For boys, there are check shirts, sweat-pants and hoodies, cord blazers and the essential parka. For more information about All for Children, please visit www.hm.com/allforchildren.

H&M Fall 2011 Women’s Lookbook

I hate the cold weather but I LOVE the fashion. Layering all those great sweaters, the boots, etc…. And H&M looks like it will again be my go-to location for all the best at the best prices. What are you guys lusting? 😉

“I’m particularly fond of this collection because it’s so easy to wear, so grown up and yet totally of the moment and with such great fashion attitude. Most pieces are fashion classics updated with a new silhouette or shape or simply new styling,” says H&M’s Head of Design Ann-Sofie Johansson.

For Fall 2011, H&M is all about the 70′s style influence, key looks are long, loose silhouettes, with classic coats in camel teamed with patterned dresses and wide pants, mixing retro styles with a modern twist. The color palette is warm like camel, cognac, burgundy, pumpkin and brown, as well as uniform-inspired colors, muted jewel tones and cream. If you like patterns, there’s tweeds, florals, paisley and checks. Key pieces are classic coats, including a parka, faux fur, blazer, tailored pants, knee-length skirt, blouse, poncho and chunky knits.

H&M By Night Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

The warm weather is finally here and with all the rooftop and outdoor events/parties we all need a little something pretty to wear. Dressing up is fun but if you have a lot of events lined up it can get expensive. Remember H&M’s By Night collection that launched last year? Well, they’re back with a flirty new collection for spring/summer and this time for both men and women. I don’t think I’ve seen any of this collection in stores yet but it should be releasing soon if it hasn’t yet. Cute! Do you like?

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: H&M WaterAid Collection 2011

Every summer H&M launches a collection with the international charity WaterAid to help raise money for the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and improving hygiene. 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the collection are donated to WaterAid, “so far H&M’s support have helped more than 110,000 poor people.” I spotted a few pieces from the collection which includes a women’s jumpsuit, water bottles, beach chair, blanket and men’s espadrille flats- all of which are decked out in blue prints. Here’s just a quick sneak peek at what to expect. The collection hits stores the first week in May.

H&M Fashion Against AIDS Star Studded Ad Campaign

Last month you’ve seen the H&M Fashion Against AIDS 2011 illustrations and product preview already, today H&M announced their star studded ad campaign to support the cause! Celebrities include Selma Blair, Penn Badgley, Keri Hilson, Sky Ferreira, Akon, Nikki Reed, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scissor Sisters, Shiloh Fernandez and The Misshapes.

The unisex collection launches in H&M’s Divided department and online from April 26th, with 25% of sales donated to the charity Designers Against AIDS (DAA) and various other international HIV/AIDS prevention projects.

“I think it’s really fitting that this collection is androgynous in style since the disease affects both men and women. It’s a universal thing and we are all in this together. It’s a disease that can be avoided and it’s especially tragic when our ignorance keeps us from safety.” Selma Blair.

“I’ve had a lot of friends who’ve been in the situation where their friends and family have been affected by HIV. As I travel the world, I see how much HIV affects people. It’s not like we have a cure for HIV, we only have prevention. Make sure you are protected so that you don’t ever have to worry about it. Ever.” Akon.

EXCLUSIVE: H&M HIGH SUMMER 2011 PREVIEW

I love all these bright colors that I am seeign out in retail lately! H&M has now gotten on the band wagon with some amazing pieces of their own. High waisted shorts and denim overalls are all the rage… what is your fav piece? 😉

Also included H&M’s head of design, Ann-Sofie Johansson’s favourite pieces for spring.

“I just love this season’s cool 70s style for women,” she says, “with romantic dresses and tops, denim, long skirts and chic shorts.” The casual look is all about a wonderful spring feeling, and is one that works brilliantly with all the added extras. “Accessories are pretty bold,” says Ann-Sofie. For men, shorts are a key piece of the wardrobe for a classic yet fashionable look. “These are teamed with a casual shirt or a vest under a sleeveless jacket for a relaxed look, or dressed up with a white shirt and blazer for work,” she says. “They also look fantastic on women. I like roomy shorts and so I often get mine from the men’s department,” Ann-Sofie adds. Accessories are just as important for men as they are for women, such as espadrilles, sunglasses, weekend bags and belts.
