China Glaze launches a new collection called Hologlam featuring a 12-piece collection of shimmering holographic nail lacquers. China Glaze Hologlam uses reflective, holographic particles to capture light and transform nails into amazing, ever-changing visual effects. With a strong linear finish whether indoor or shining bright in the sun, China Glaze Hologlam bends and changes, creating an illuminated three-dimensional, traveling color effect across the nail.

The China Glaze Hologlam collection will be available in April 2013 at fine salons and beauty supply stores nationwide with an SRP of $14. Looks and sounds pretty cool, can’t wait to try it all!

MAC Cosmetics is slated to launch a new online exclusive collection with Hayley Williams, lead singer of the platinum-selling band Paramore. The collection features limited-edition shades that range from the orange pops of Riot Gear Nail Lacquer and Sounds Like Noise Lipstick to the shimmering coral frost of Daydreaming Eye Shadow and Lightscapade Mineralize Skinfinish. The collection will be available online exclusively from April 9th.

MAC Cosmetics launches a new Extended Play Gigablack Lash with high volume and wide reach that lasts up to 16 hours. According to the press release, the mascara curls, lifts and enhances the natural thickness of lashes in an intensely black pigment, while beautifully conditioning for a smooth, soft finish. A petite “gripper” brush, embedded with micro-spheres covers even the tiniest lashes, from base to tip, for dramatic definition.

Available in stores and online at maccosmetics.com from March 14th  in the permanent line. I can’t wait to try this!

My favorite bad gal Rihanna is on a roll with collaborations, the latest is with MAC Cosmetics. According to WWD, it will be long-term relationship, there will be four collections, to be known as RiRi [Hearts] MAC. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have shot the campaign for the fall and holiday collections. I can’t wait to see the campaign and collection!

The first product to launch will be RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by her favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo. Its release will coincide with Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concerts on May 4 and 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where MAC will open a pop-up shop on the first night to showcase the line. Her name will appear on the packaging, and her signature will be embossed on the RiRi Woo lipstick case and on the bullets of the summer lipsticks, as well as several of the fall and holiday pieces.

The signature piece of the lineup, RiRi Woo, will be sold with all four collections. The summer collection also includes two additional lipsticks, a Lustre Drops shade and a powder blush duo. Fall’s 16 sku’s include four lipsticks, a deeply pigmented Lipglass version of RiRi Woo, two multishade eye shadow palettes and false lashes. (“She likes to wear two pairs at a time,” said Jennifer Balbier, MAC’s senior vice president of global product development, in an aside.) Holiday will bring another 10 items, including nail polish, a makeup bag and additional lipsticks.

MAC Archie Girls Makeup Collection

MAC’s new big makeup collaboration has the 12-year-old girl in me very excited.

It’s ARCHIE COMICS, you guys. Betty! Veronica! All recreated a lá MAC.

I always thought I was a Betty at heart — the quiet girl-next-door with a sweet disposition — but the Veronica line of makeup? Full of vampy reds and moody purples? Dang, I might be swayed toward the dark (haired) side.

Sugar-sweet peach and bubblegum pink personifies the cheerful, innocent Betty.

The Veronica line — deep red, purple, navy, etc. — is as bold and daring as the dark-haired heartbreaker herself.
