SneakerCon Miami ReCap

Miami was another successful notch on the Sneaker Con belt, as thousands gathered at the Fieldhouse in the University of Miami to swap kicks, greet friends, and admire the rarest and most prized sneakers from around the world. As expected, all those who entered the gates came prepared with some sneaker heat of their own, and there’s no better occasion to wear your most prized kicks than Sneaker Con.

OBSESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!Miu Miu’s Blinged Out Sneakers

Miu Miu has added some awesome sparkly kicks to their fall collection. I am in love with them!!!! Sparkly shoesies are my all time staple item. They go wondefully with a plain tee and jeans or to jazz up any outfit. 🙂 I WANT!!!

The sneakers come in blush, silver, gold and black and are made of patent leather, arabesque lamé and velvet, and embellished with glitter, metal tips, or appliquéd crystals. They will be available at Miu Miu boutiques and online starting this month and will set you back between $450-$585.

EXCLUSIVE: The Entire Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s Collection; Plus, A Peek at the Campaign

Finally, a look at Karl Lagerfeld‘s much-hyped capsule collection for Macy’s ‘Impulse’ department. Macy’s offered up a preview of the full line last night at a gallery space in SoHo wallpapered with black and white photos of the Kaiser looking awfully serious (as he usually does) and campaign images featuring the always-stunning Coco Rocha photographed by Lagerfeld in his library in Paris.

The 45 piece collection is comprised of flirty dresses–some feminine and floral, others crisper and more severe–thick tweedy separates (shorts and vests) and faux leather jackets. The simpler black and white dresses with sharp white collars stood out (they seemed the most Chanel-like) but my prediction is that the soft slouchy tees printed with Lagerfeld’s image, priced at $49, will fly off the racks.

“To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the US where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget,” Lagerfeld said in a release. The collection is priced between $50 to $170 and goes on sale at 235 Macy’s across the nation and on macys.com on August 31 (set a reminder).

Take a look. Do you love it? Do you hate it? Will you be camping outside Macy’s on August 30 ?

Karl Lagerfeld’s 45-piece limited-edition collection for Macy’s hits 235 of the retailer’s stores and online later this month — on Aug. 31. Take a look below…. 🙂

Fresh off the news that its launching US e-commerce next month, Zara has released its Fall 2011 ad campaigns. Stella Tennant returns as face of the brand, shot by David Sims in the main collection’s dark, masculine silhouettes, while Hailey Clauson models a brighter selection of pea coats and miniskirts from the retailer’s TRF range. Are you excited for this new collection as I am? I love the sophistication in all of the looks. Each piece stands on its own… I can’t wait!

J.Crew to Show During New York Fashion Week

With just over a month before New York Fashion Week, show news is already starting to trickle in. For the first time, Tory Burch, Marchesa, and Timo Weiland are all said to be ditching presentations for runway shows; Mark Fast is showing his Faster line in New York instead of London this season; and now, J.Crew is on the preliminary schedule for what appears to be a presentation on the morning of Sept. 13.  Very exciting!!

The First Missoni for Target Ad Starring Margherita Missoni

Missoni’s highly-anticipated, gigantic collection for Target will encompass everything from mens and womens clothes to accessories to furniture to candles to bicycles. It’s basically a whole lifestyle brand in one collection. So, it’s exciting to see how they would translate this into an ad campaign. Some behind-the-scenes shots emerged in May, so we were able to get glimpse of the Mod ’60s-inspired vibe of the campaign. We’re still dying to see the commercial, but for now here’s a glimpse into the colorful, zig zag-y world of Missoni for Target, starring Margherita herself
