From the snow dome to the doll, I am going cra cra for the Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora collection!! Perfect for the holidays, get your own Karl Lagerfeld doll along with a snow globe, nail polishes and eye shadows, bonkers right? Too bad this collection is exclusive to Europe and Singapore, if you live there the collection releases on November 6th! Hmmm, gonna have to call one of my friends over seas to cop for me 😉

The Muppets are at your fingertips! OPI collaborated with Disney to create a line of Muppet-inspired nail polishes, and the lacquers just landed in stores this week. The puppet-approved colors include a perfect-for-Miss-Piggy bold magenta “Excuse Moi” and the Kermit-inspired emerald “Fresh Frog of Bel Air,” as seen here, and each bottle is $8.50 (visit opi.com for store locations). Preview the collection in the gallery, and catch The Muppets, co-starring Amy Adams and Jason Segal, when it opens in theaters November 23rd.
Happy birthday! The iconic Vogue editor turns 62 today, although given Wintour’s penchant for dazzling, of-the-nanosecond clothes that stay on trend while still looking elegant, we’d take her for a lot younger.
The British-born publishing mogul got her start in American magazines at Harper’s Bazaar in 1975 before moving on to work at Savvy, Viva, New York, House & Garden and Vogue UK before settling in at Vogue‘s helm in 1987. Rumor has it she’s working on a juicy tell-all memoir of her decades-long experience in magazine journalism — we can’t wait.
This season, printed jeans are everywhere: J Brand, Current/Elliott, Hudson, Rag & Bone, and Gap all have versions, just to name a few. Here, we’ve gathered five of our favorite animal-patterned jeans and devised a different way to wear each one — from super-relaxed to neatly polished — without having to fall back on a basic tee. See below 😉

Inspired by the “power of symbols,” magic, and the occult, Eddie Borgo’s black, white, lavender, and cream-colored Spring 2012 collection riffs on his signature cone bracelets and tassel earrings while also introducing a few new structures, including fractured hearts and pentagram stars. “I’m always looking at the dichotomy between light and dark, hard and soft, aggressive and feminine,” Borgo says. “The challenge is to do that with new techniques while always keeping a rock’n’ roll sensibility.” Preview the collection below, currently available for preorder on Moda Operandi.

Back in September I’ve posted the first look of the Forever 21 for Hello Kitty collection and it’s been really popular. The collection is super well-priced, from $3.80 to just under $30! The Forever 21 for Hello Kitty Exclusive Collection will make its debut on November 18th at Forever 21 stores and online. The clear raincoat is SICK!! Super CUTE!!

I got a little peek at H&M’s forthcoming The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo-inspired women’s collection when it was announced in WWD last week and now here’s a full styled-out looks courtesy of the New York Post.
The collection, which was designed by the film’s costume designer, Trish Summerville, is inspired by Lisbeth Salander, the film (and book)’s ass-kicking, crime-solving, computer-hacking female protagonist. Summerville told the daily, “I tried to pick pieces from the film and adapt them to make them a little more fashionable for real-life women.” When asked what she thought Salander would think of “all of this commercialism,” responded with reason, “She’s a character from books. So she doesn’t really have a voice in it.” It’s true.
The Post styled five looks from the collection on smokey-eyed, pixie-haired models that are kind of giving us Kate Lanphear vibes. The collection is obviously tough and tomboyish, but as individual pieces, we could see it being pretty versatile.
The Post also calls mold-breaking Lisbeth Salandar “a style icon for the modern age.” Does that mean we’ll be seeing lots of girls with super-short bangs and leather jackets next season? Zoe Kravitz seems to be on board with the trend, at least hair-wise, and Rooney Mara’s rocking the short bangs on the cover of Vogue. Will you be next? Below see all the looks!
Marc Jacobs has taken plenty of turns in front of the camera — most notably for the 2007 documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton — but he’s always been himself. Now, he has the opportunity to do otherwise, he said last night at the WSJ. Magazine Innovator of the Year Awards: “I got cast in a role in a movie. They’re filming next week and I’m excited. I get to play a character that’s not myself at all.” No further details were revealed. [Style.com]
