I first saw the caviar manicure during New York Fashion Week and I must say I thought to myself this will only be good for special occasions. But when I saw one of my friends wearing this the other day, it made me want to try it myself. 😉 I love the 3D effect and it seems like it’s simple to achieve. I think I’m going to buy the Ciaté Caviar Manicure set on Sephora.com, the multi-colored pearls look great and fun for summer! The downside of the caviar manicure is that it only lasts about 48 hours (according to Sephora). Do you think it’s worth $25?
I absolutely love the Hello Kitty for Sephora collections. Now for summer they’ve released a colorful graffiti collection! Hello Kitty Graffiti pays tribute to the daring graffiti artists that decorate Hello Kitty’s favorite downtown spots and includes a supercute makeup bag, a tiered palette which includes 4 luxurious eye shadows and 2 blush/bronzers, ‘rollergirl’ roll-on perfume, a compact mirror and a 5-piece brush set housed in a ‘to die for’ collectible, molded Hello Kitty Graffiti container. LOVE it! Shop it at Sephora stores and www.sephora.com . I know I will 😉
I love Sophy Robson based on her work and her blog alone–hopefully someday I’ll be able to meet her in person and pick her brain for all her nail knowledge. But until then, I can just hang out on Sephora’s website.
The UK-based Robson just did a series of how-to nail art videos, which coincide nicely with the retailer’s recent announcement that they’re going to start offering nail salon services in-store. I am also loving this new trend of actual experts–like Pat McGrath’s collab with Cover Girl–posting videos about how to get certain beauty looks. (Not that we don’t admire the enthusiasm of all those 15-year-olds with YouTube accounts out there.)
Using Sephora by OPI products, Sophy walks you through how to get nail art looks with names like “Cherry Blossom,” “Distressed Metal,” and “Wild Giraffe.” There are also handy recipes to teach you how to get each look.
Not glutted on nail art yet? Then click on over to Sephora’s Facebook page, where there is a veritable smorgasbord of nail art to try.
