Warner Bros Gossip Girl X Romeo & Juliet Couture Collaboration

For those of you that have been living under a rock, Romeo & Juliet Couture is a line to be seen and keep on watch. With beautiful fabrications and up to the minute stylish looks, it’s no surprise that Warner Bros would team up with them to do a collabo for Gossip Girl. The looks are very stylish, chic and of course very Gossip Girl inspired.

Romeo & Juliet Couture’s sophisticated “inspired by Gossip Girl” collection will feature designs inspired by the characters in the stylish and trend-setting series, including tops, dresses, bottoms and outerwear priced from $80 to $200, and will extend into handbags and accessories for the spring collection.

Thanks to my friend Deidre from Romeo & Juliet, I had the opportunity to be one of the first to view the line at Project in Vegas and was blown away by the collection! (see my pictures below)  Each piece is made with the characters in mind. I love it all !! XOXO

Club Monaco’s Fall 2011 Lookbook

Haylei Shearling Vest, Amber Sweater Jackie Skirt, Willow Hat

Club Monaco is on a bit of a Euro kick: not only did the brand recently open its first overseas store at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, but it’s also joined forces with Brit fashion glossy Dazed & Confused to create its latest lookbook. Photographed by Andrea Spotorno, the spread features Club Monaco’s ’70s-inspired Fall 2011 collection modeled on a host of international models and it girls: Anna Brewster, Sara Blomqvist, Elodie Bouchez, Lou Lesage, Bambou Gainsbourg, Valentine Fillol Cordier, and Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine. The lookbook will be published this month in Dazed & Confused‘s 20th-anniversary issue, but you can glean a little cold-weather style inspiration now by viewing the whole thing here below.

SNEAK PEAK: Christopher Kane x J Brand Collaboration for Resort 2012

Last year, when Christopher Kane and J Brand first teamed for the 5×5 project, there were hints that the partnership could span further. So it was no surprise when, this past Summer, the labelsannounced that they would again be collaborating — this time on a full jeanswear line for Kane’s Resort 2012 collection. Now, the first few images are finally out, courtesy of The Telegraph UK. The 17-piece collection features raw-edged flares, jean jackets, and capris — in Kane’s signature fluorescents — plus, classic cut-offs and straight-legs in a crisp palette of white, black, and faded blue. For his part, Kane seems quite happy with the team-up, saying, “J Brand are the go-to company for fashion denim, so I could not think of anyone better to work with on this. This is something that I can see as a potential long term relationship rather than a short term collaboration. My Resort collection was so much wider this season, and I think that the denim really complemented the collection.”

See below for a first look at the capsule, available online at Net-a-Porter this November. Prices start around $300.

Full Spring Look Book for Lauren Conrad’s Paper Crown Line

Lauren Conrad’s third collection for Paper Crown, and so far the look for the line is consistent–sweet wearable basics that you could picture LC wearing. This season’s got an adorable mod twist with Peter Pan collars on blouses and an especially charming pink striped day coat. There are lots of girly bow details than run throughout the collection and they’re particularly charming on the backs blouses that dip low in the back. I also liked the dresses with longer hemlines and baggy sweaters styled over floral skirts while I found the shorter solid-color dresses to be kind of a snooze.

What do you think of Conrad’s third collection for her own line? Would you wear Paper Crown?

Fashion’s Night Out Rumored To Be Dunzo!!!!!

Sad news for partying fashionistas…
There’s a rumor going around that this year’s Fashion’s Night Out was its last.
Vogue insiders say it’s too much work for the magazine and big retailers aren’t making enough money to cover the costs of their star-studded events.
I can’t say I’m surprised.
The whole reason Anna Wintour created the event in 2009 was to encourage consumers to spend money. But over the past few years it feels like it’s shifted from shopping to finding your favorite celebrity.

I’m super bummed out about this!! What are YOUR thoughts? Should Fashion’s Night Out continue or not???

Confirmed: Kanye West To Show During Paris Fashion Week!

Photo: Getty

It’s official: Kanye West will show during Paris Fashion Week this season.

Vogue UK confirmed last night that the rapper is indeed showing–and that he’s tapped designer talent Katie Eary to be one of the top creatives at the label. Eary, who has won critical acclaim for her menswear, added womenswear to her label in September 2010–which means the line she is working on with Kanye is just as likely to be menswear as it is to be womenswear (or both).

The magazine goes on to say that, “sources told us this morning that the rapper had originally planned to showcase his collection as part of the New York schedule, but has postponed the event until the final week of fashion month.” So that explains all those conflicting rumors!

And while Vogue UK seems to have it on pretty good authority (and is, no doubt, a trusted source), West has yet to make a comment on the matter, and no date for the show has been set. Still, with this many rumors swirling around, our bet is this one is for real.

Fall 2011 Alexa Chung for Madewell Collection

Alexa Chung’s second collaboration with Madewell debuts online and in stores on September 22 — and now, we’ve got a full look at the collection, courtesy of Fashionista. “You know me,” Chung says of her new designs. “I’m obsessed with polka dots and Peter pan collars — British things like that — so they’re all in there.” There are also a couple of pajama-inspired pieces featuring a palm tree print Chung drew by hand. “I sketch so much in meetings,” she says. “The Madewell team insisted.”

Hottest Trends Of NY Fashion Week

The spring ’12 shows were, in a word, comfortable. The trends might not have been groundbreaking, and the looks might not have been revolutionary, but—oh, boy—did I want it all!!  The runways read like a synopsis of all my greatest hits: preppy staples, tomboyish sensibilities, vintage inspirations, and loads of colors and prints… If you didn’t have the opportunity to sit front row at all the shows, it’s no sweat. I’ve hashed out the top 10 trends from spring ’12 NYFW that I’m going to start experimenting with, stat!
