Superga and Versus has teamed up to collaborate on a sneaker collection for Fall 2014. According to WWD, the Superga x Versus Versace collection is a special edition of the classic Superga 2750 style in one of the key motifs from Versus’ fall collection. The sneakers feature bold colors, baroque prints and the Greek key on a cotton canvas with a vulcanized natural rubber sole. Both logos of the brand can be seen on the shoe.

The collection will be available starting this month in select Versace boutiques, Superga stores and at shop.versace.comand superga.com.

I am a big fan of Chanel cosmetics and love what they are releasing for Fall 2014.

Chanel launches its Fall 2014 makeup collection, Collection États Poétiques, featuring a spectrum of pink shades with flashes of purple, radiant yellow and tumultuous grey. The collection is mainly focused on the eyes, the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio plays an intriguing game of opposites: innocent and stormy, soft and intense. Lovely as always.

H&M never does ANYTHING in small portions, so when they said they are opening a flagship store on 5th Ave, I knew it was going to be MAJOR!!

They are no stranger when it comes to designer collaborations or unique ideas when it comes to a store opening but now we can add art collaboration to their roster. In celebration of the opening of the new flagship store on 5th Avenue, H&M is the fashion retail sponsor of the Whitney Museum of American Art’s “Jeff Koons: A Retrospective.” The new store opening on Thursday, July 17th at 12:00pm, will be museum-inspired and a perfect way to showcase the Swedish retailer’s first ever artist collaboration. Showcasing one of the most notable and influential artists of our time, Jeff Koons.

“The partnership with H&M was really exciting for me and the chance to showcase one of my most popular works to a new generation of people was inspiring. H&M delivers great fashion season after season and it’s nice to see my work at their new store,” says Jeff Koons.

Besides the Jeff Koons Balloon Dog façade wrap of the store’s windows, there will also be a limited edition Balloon Dog leather handbag available for sale, it will also be available in select markets across the US including Los Angeles, Chicago and Dallas, as well as online at hm.com beginning July 17th, 2014. A select number of pieces will also be sold at the Whitney during the Retrospective.

If you think the H&M store at Caesars Palace Las Vegas is big, this one is even bigger. H&M at 589 Fifth Avenue features 57,000 square feet of space with an impressive façade of windows. According to H&M, there is an impressive five floor atrium and a 26’ x 20’ LED screen and has a regal feel upon entering the store. Timeless finishes including green and white marble tiles, an opulent wall of mirrors, distinct herringbone wood work and a full concierge shopping service all create a truly unique experience. In addition, the store will offer an H&M Home department, collections for ladies, men, kids of all ages, young ladies and young men, with separate “store within store” sections for accessories, and lingerie. Sounds pretty amazing, can’t wait to check out the store!

In celebration of opening day, H&M at 589 Fifth Avenue will offer the first 500 shoppers in line an H&M t-shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $500, in addition to other fantastic offers for the whole family!

Jeff Koons: A Retrospective opens June 27th running through October 19th, 2014 at the Whitney Museum of American Art, located at 945 Madison Avenue at 75th street in Manhattan. The exhibit will travel to Centre Pompidou, Musee national d’art moderne (November 26, 2014 – April 27, 2015) followed by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (June 5, 2015 – September 27, 2015).

It’s resort season, Versace showed an urban, bold and luxurious collection fusing sportswear and tailored pieces with their iconic prints and vivid colors. There’s even a new take on tailoring featuring jackets with fluid cuts in matte jersey. Also mixing with the essential new jacket in a boxy shape made in modern silk cotton. Love all the sportswear inspired parkas in technical fabric that shimmer and colorful bomber jackets that are just to die for. Details consists of large pressed studs, double gold rings with Medusa heads, and zips that are like tribal jewelry.

Also loving the knee-high gladiator sandals and zip boot! This is definitely a sick collection!

FAMILY VACATION IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

I LOVE visiting my family in the Dominican Republic! Although I was born in the states, Dominican Republic always holds a special part of me. I carry it around with me in the freckles on my face and in the light curl my hair makes. If you have never been there, I definitely recommend it. From the beautiful beaches to the amazing food and people that live there, Dominican Republic is sure to make you want to keep going back for more. Enjoy some of my pictures from the trip below.

Urban Outfitters Opens Largest Store in Herald Square NYC

Urban Outfitters announced their latest store opening to be a new lifestyle center located in Herald Square, New York. The store will be the largest Urban Outfitters to date, at 57,000 square feet, this multi-level shop will feature an expanded beauty department with custom-designed beauty fixtures to house over 45 national and international brands and a large women’s shoe boutique, along with shop-in-shops.

Urban Outfitters Herald Square officially opens Saturday, June 7, at 10:00am EDT and is located at 1333 Broadway, Herald Square New York.

The Herald Square location will also host several independently owned and operated companies.

  • Los Angeles-based “hair-raisers” Hairroin Salon will occupy a portion of the first floor. The full service salon specializes in everything from cut, color and extensions, and serves men and women of all hair types.
  • Amoeba Records will bring a curated assortment of over 400 vintage vinyl titles.
  • Eyewear Company Tortoise & Blonde will provide customers with the latest fashions in prescription eyewear, including an exclusive sunglass collection with Urban Outfitters slated to launch in June.
  • Intelligentsia Coffee will occupy a 900 square foot space on the ground level of the store and will feature its own entrance. The Herald Square coffee bar will provide customers with the service Intelligentsia is known for—sourcing, developing, roasting and delivering the best coffee in the world.
  • Activewear brand Without Walls will house 3,000 square feet worth of fitness apparel and merchandise
  • Pennsylvania-based collectables brand Three Potato Four has curated an exclusive shop that will feature NYC-related souvenirs.
  • There will also be a bookshop and an Urban Renewal Vintage shop that’s dedicated to vintage and remade goods for men and women.

Altuzarra X Target Announce Fall Collaboration

This morning, I arrived to work to the news that Joseph Altuzarra has officially signed on board to be Target’s next designer collaborator!! That’s right: The big, old bull’s-eye is getting a dose of seriously elegant, French style by way of one of New York’s most sought-after designers.

With little more than a single sketch to tease the designs to come, we can come to the conclusion: The 50-piece collection will feature a feminine, full-sleeved maxi-dress, and likely other sophisticated designs, courtesy of the former CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner. Once again, the collection will not only be available in Target stores and online, but also through Net-A-Porter, which first joined Target for its Peter Pilotto collaboration just last winter. The Joseph Altuzarra for Target collection will officially arrive September 14, once again providing the perfect post-Fashion Week treat for the masses. Check out the boudoir-scene sketch below for more subtly exciting hints.
