EXCLUSIVE H&M MARCH 2011 PREVIEW
EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEAL @ H&M FASHION AGAINST AIDS 2011
Yesterday I posted H&M‘s new Fashion Against AIDS campaign through illustrations, now here’s the full look at the products for the unisex collection. This new collection took a different direction from last season’s festive collection, what’s your thoughts on it?
The collection is scheduled launch on April 28th in H&M’s Divided department with 25% of sales donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world.
“Women can work that boyfriend look and men are working with styling more than ever in the way they dress. The starting point is shape and detail, with sporty T-shirts, blouses and parkas that are there to be personalized: sleeves can be rolled up or zipped off, waists can be belted and garments totally adapted from one item into another. Comfort is a key factor and colors are naturals as well as pale pastels which means they can be worn by all. A draped nylon parka looks just right as it is, or its sleeves can be zipped off and its waist accentuated to turn it into a dress for girls. The oversized and asymmetric slogan T-shirts can be worn in so many ways, while the collection is full of the perfect track pants, tanks and shorts perfect for summer.”
H&M FASHION AGAINST AIDS 2011 UNISEX COLLECTION
H&M announced this morning their new Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) campaign, this year the sporty unisex collection offers something for both women and men. This is the fourth year of H&M’s FAA initiative, which aims to promote safe sex and HIV/AIDS awareness both through the messages found in the collection and through the advocacy of the organisations which benefit from the sales. The collection is scheduled launch on April 28th in H&M’s Divided department with 25% of sales donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world.
“We wanted to create a unisex collection with a sporty vibe. It felt really liberating to think of the cut, the shape and the fabric first before thinking of what gender it should be for. Key pieces are the slogan T-shirts as well as the sports style jacket with zip details, which can be worn in all sorts of ways. FAA is vital because it is still so crucial to make young people aware of HIV and AIDS,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at H&M.
I love H&M and am very excited about all the amazing things they are doing to improve our environment and the community. I look forward to contributing my part and shopping this collection 🙂 How about you guy?
H&M GLAMOUR COLLECTION SNEAK PEAK ^_*
This spring, H&M will be launching a collection called “Glamour” – a collection of jackets, shorts, tunics, dresses, overalls, swimwear and accessories (shoes, bags and jewelry). The collection is full of rich colors, bold prints, beads and gold with a special “Glamour” hang tag featured in each garment. I’m not a huge fan of the collection, the only pieces I do like are the leopard print shorts, the plain tan suede jacket, the flats and sandals with hanging beads. The Glamour Collection is slated to launch on March 31, 2011. I LOVE THE ANIMAL PRINTS ! WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PIECE?
H&M CONSCIOUS COLLECTION EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PREAK….
I HAD TO GET A SNEAK PEAK FOR MY READERS 😉
H&M CONSCIOUS COLLECTION
Remember H&M’s The Garden Collection that released last year around the same time? Looks like this new Conscious Collection is a continuation of the collection which is also made from enviromentally – adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, Tencel® and recycled polyester. The collection for women, men and children was inspired by different shades of white, one of the most important colors this Spring and was seen throughout designer’s collections on the runway. The collection is a minimalist look with lace, Broderie Anglaise, frills and draping.
Can’t wait for this collection to hit stores! What’s your favorite piece? 😉
The Conscious Collection will be on sale in all H&M stores from April 14, 2011.
Womenswear is inspired by an updated romantic style in which blouses, tunics and T-shirts with Broderie Anglaise are a key trend. Tiered dresses are perfect for day or more dramatic Grecian gowns for night. Long floaty skirts are key as are cut-off shorts. The collection also includes the perfect white blazer and pleated trousers for a more minimalist look as well as Broderie Anglaise and lace lingerie.
H&M INCLUSIVE COLLECTION
Good news to all my plus size readers, H&M is set to launch Inclusive, a plus size collection for all the ladies that love H&M but can never find their size!
The collection consists of 20-pieces, available in UK EU sizes 32-54, featuring party dresses in 50’s styles, skirts, tops, cardigans and lingerie following the same theme. The downside is that it will be sold exclusively through H&M Online in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Norway, Sweden and UK in March 2011. Perhaps they’re testing their waters for the plus size market? Do all my plus size ladies love it? 😉
H&M SUMMER 2011 LOOKBOOK
I can hardly think of Spring/Summer right now with all the snow still piled up high on the streets of NYC but seeing these new H&M Summer 2011 lookbook images did make me want to book a vacation to somewhere warm. 🙂 Models Mona Johannesson and Jakob Hedberg are dressed in colorful casual pieces, love the high-waisted striped shorts!
For women, Summer was inspired by the 60s style with lots of loose silhouette and light materials, sport-inspired pieces, fresh pastels, brights and white. For men, it’s all about the casual and smart Summer preppy look as well as the washed and worn look. Would you like your man dressed like this? 😉
