Last night, the Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collection was celebrated at 5 Bleeker Street in New York City, the venue was amazing. The event was held across 9 floors at the venue at the historical building in the city’s financial district. Kanye West, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mena Suvari, Chace Crawford, Alan Cumming, Helena Christensen, Julianne Moore, Selma Blair, Doutzen Kroes, and Paul Reubens were some of the 1,000 guests that attended the magical party.

This year there was no fashion show but the collection was shown in an art and dance performance by choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and through specially commissioned art installations by Noemi Goudal and Daniel Arsham. It was pretty amazing and on the 9th floor there was a pop-up shop- LOVE! The collection is releasing on November 15th in around 250 H&M stores worldwide and online. If you can’t wait, there’s a ton of products on eBay already AND the prices are crazy!!

Previously you’ve seen the Maison Martin Margiela with H&M lookbook, now here’s a look at the full collection pieces with prices. As I mentioned before, “the collaboration presents a re-edition of iconic Maison Martin Margiela garments and accessories for men and women. Each piece is labeled with a unique tag indicating the season from which it originated, spanning 23 years since the Maison’s founding.” I love the color chart too, shades of black, white, red, nude and silver. Classic.

The overview of the collection:
– shape & volume: masculine shapes are adjusted to frame the female body.
– oversized: pieces of the masculine and feminine wardrobe are presented in oversized versions of themselves.
– process of tailoring: traditional finishing and tailoring procedures are visible.
– ambiguity: conveyed through the use of trompe l’oeil – optical illusion.
– transformation: this occurs in different ways, to offer a new use and shape for everyday objects and materials.

This morning Target has announced a partnership with celebrated designer Prabal Gurung ! The collection will include women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, handbags, shoes and jewelry! It is set to launch on February 10, 2013 and I am super excited- are you? In addition to his upcoming collaboration with Target, you’ll get a taste of Gurung’s two pieces for the much-anticipated Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, which launches December 1, 2012.

“I am so thrilled to be working with Target on a collection that brings my designs to a wider audience,” said Prabal Gurung, designer. “This collection was inspired by love and if Target’s guests can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while I was designing this collection, then I will consider it a job well done.”

According to the press release, “the collection reflects Gurung’s distinct aesthetic, with impeccable tailoring and feminine silhouettes, and features striking prints, hot-hued palettes and sleek styles that will add dimension to any woman’s wardrobe. Standout pieces include refined dresses, mixed-media skirts, edgy blazers and striking shoes. The collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $199.99 for apparel and $12.99 to $39.99 for jewelry, handbags and shoes.”

For those that are fans of Narciso Rodriguez, good news, he will be launching an affordable collection with Kohl’s just in time for the holidays! Narciso Rodriguez has been named the premier designer for Kohl’s new limited-edition collection concept, DesigNation. His collection will be available exclusively at Kohl’s and Kohls.com on November 7th. The collection features fashions inspired by Rodriguez’s trip to Istanbul, Turkey earlier this year, the collection showcases women’s apparel in feminine silhouettes while introducing the use of color and prints inspired by his travels. Rodriguez’s collection for Kohl’s includes outerwear, dresses, skirts, pants and blouses with prices ranging from $30 to $150.

Zara Woman October 2012

Zara released a new lookbook for its Woman collection for October and as usual love the styling! I’m liking the classic minimal looks offered this month, I definitely need that white beaded sweatshirt pictured below. Love!
