WWW.SHOPNASTYGAL.COM LOOKBOOK FEB’2011

I LOVE NASTY GAL…. THEY ARE VERY FEMME AND VERY ROCK AND ROLL AT THE SAME TIME…. THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO CARRY JUST WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR TO GIVE ME THAT EDGE.. GO ON THE SITE TODAY, SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING THERE THAT SUITS YOUR PERSONALITY. 😉

DIY DYE FOR YOUR HOO HA!! HUH??!! WEIRD!!

My Pink Button, $30, available here. Betty Beauty, $13-15, available here.

DIY DYE FOR DOWN THERE !!! HUH!!

Dyeing our hair is fine. Dyeing our lashes is fun, but may be anxiety-inducing. Coloring our labia and pubic hair? HUH ??? I’ve heard of kinky gifts for Vday but nothing like this….I may have to sit this one out.

My Pink Button is a temporary treatment to restore the “youthful pink color” back to your hoo-ha, and the hues range from Marilyn (“fresh color change”) to Audry (“bold burgundy pink”). If you think that’s too much (and I don’t blame you), maybe Betty Beauty pubic hair dye is more your thing. From natural colors–to chase away gray–to more “fun” greens, pinks and blues, you’ll certainly give a paramour a technicolor shock. Hey, to each her own.

2011 JEWELRY TRENDS FOR SPRING TO TRY- NOW!

Above, clockwise from top left: Proenza Schouler spring 2011 runway look, photo courtesy of Proenza Schouler; Oscar De La Renta Multi-Stone Bracelet, $475, available at Net-A-Porter; Topshop Enamel Oval Ring, $20, available at Topshop; Rachel Leigh Primrose Bib Necklace, $348, available at Bergdorf Goodman; David Aubrey Willamena Cuff Bracelet, $135, available at Max & Chloe.

No matter the year, trend, or designer du jour, it never takes much to get our fashionable juices pumping with the mention of spring jewelry trends. Like an amazing pair of lace-up wedges or the most coveted new bucket bag, an injection of fresh jewelry can do wonders for waking up a sleepy wardrobe. And this season, there are a handful of themes that have us reshuffling our spring/summer must-haves. From colossal cabochon-style stones to the sexiest tassels and fringe, our favorite spring jewelry trends really run the gamut of wearable art. And if you’re wondering if those glorious Dior earrings are too far out of your reach, never fear: As equal opportunity editors, we’ve assembled a lust-worthy list of amazing options at almost any price-point….yes, this spring, it’s bling for all!

1. Big Mixed Cabochon-Style Stones—The last few seasons have been like jewelry on steroids. Not that we’ll ever say no to a great statement necklace. But this spring, the Big idea that caught our eye was the use of giant Cabochon-style stones, à la Proenza Schouler and Bottega Veneta. Organic and elegant.

2. Tassels & Fringe—Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Dior all seemed to have an Art Deco-meets-’70s moment with the re-imagining of huge, gorgeous tassel earrings and fringe necklaces. We like, and this is one we’ll be wearing.

Above, clockwise from top left: Pamela Love spring 2011 collection, photo by Ryan Koopmans; Giles & Brother spring 2011 bangle; Topshop Futuristic Metal Collar, $35, available at Topshop; By Boe Square Band Rings, $60, available at 80s Purple.

3. Clean & Architectural—Perhaps as a back-lash to all the mixed piled-on pearls, chains, and stones that continue to fill boutiques, Pamela Love, Giles & Brother, and other designers opted for super spare, clean, and almost architectural pieces. And for the OCD or easily distracted, the simplicity is nothing short of refreshing.

Above, clockwise from top left: Karen Walker spring 2011 backstage, photo courtesy of Karen Walker; JenMDesigns Acrylic Rings, from $50, available at Etsy; Marni Beaded Necklace, $485, available at Net-A-Porter; Miu Miu Apple-Embellished Plexiglass Bangle, $265, available at Net-A-Porter.

4. Plastics & Perspex—The trend toward really childlike, whimsical jewels with a ’60s feel always has a place in our wardrobes. So, for spring, we were doubly excited when designers like Karen Walker and Marni turned out fun plastic-fantastic necklaces and wide perspex-like colored cuff bracelets.

Above, clockwise from top left: Eddie Borgo Rose Gold-Plated Labradorite Necklace, $625, available at Net-A-Porter; Made Her Think Talon Rose Gold Vermeil Ring, $149.50, available at Made Her Think; Jules Smith Rock On Earrings, $60, available at Max & Chloe; Michael Kors Glitz Watch, $250, available Michael Kors; House of Harlow 1960 Rose Gold-Plated Stack Ring, $20, available at Endless.

5. Rose-Gold—In fashion, it’s always a guessing game each season as to who in the metals will prevail: silver or gold? Well, for spring, the more exotic rose-gold is stealing center-stage, with a striking necklace by Eddie Borgo and a surprisingly sophisticated Michael Kors watch taking top honors on our spring/summer wish-list.
