London fashion week is over, seemingly in the blink of an eye. But before Milan swoops in and steals all the glory,I wanted to give a shout out to the 10 collections I loved most in London. Brit designers gave us a lot of pastel and florals, a lot of color, and a lot of cheekiness.
Look below to see the ten best spring 2012 collections from across the pond.
- ERDEM: This collection was breathtaking and exquisite.
- MATTHEW WILLIAMSON: Digitized florals and strong color worked for us.
- MARIOS SCHWAB: Schwab’s show stood out in a sea of flowers with its seaming and simple silhouettes.
- JONATHAN SAUNDERS: Ombré pastels, all mixed up? Yes, please!
- MULBERRY: It was simple, but hit all the right notes. We’d wear it all
- MARY KATRANTZOU: Katrantzou’s collection was gorgeous and complicated, in the best way.
- CHRISTOPHER KANE: Easily the best show we saw.
- HOUSE OF HOLLAND: Henry Holland’s sense of humor was on display as usual, but the looks were also really wearable–a perfect combination.
- GILES: Giles provided a lot of the sartorial drama during LFW, giving us big gowns and lots of feathers.
- ANTONIO BERARDI: Love the strong menswear tailoring.
