UNDERCOVER x UNIQLO – UU Campaign

UNDERCOVER x UNIQLO   UU Campaign

Back in July, UNIQLO announced the new collaborative project with UNDERCOVER by Jun Takahashi which is slated to release this Spring. For those of you (me included) that are anticipating to see what the collection would look like, here’s a look at the campaign. Quirky campaign, I like! The UU collection is made for everyone and will be debuting in 11 countries on March 16th. I can’t wait to see the full lookbook.

UU: clothing for the families of today. It is the unity of UNIQLO’s high-quality, basic clothing and the UNDERCOVER line of street-influences, high-end fashion. It represents modern family style, and seeks to inspire the world from Tokyo.

Here’s a First Look at the Marni For H&M Ad Campaign

Is Imogen Poots the face of Marni For H&M? This ad — which recently surfaced on The Fashion Spot — features what appears to be the British actress lounging in a leopard print-filled room, wearing a super-shiny paisley ensemble. A QR code in the bottom left corner directs viewers to the campaign video, which — as WWD confirmed last month — was shot by Sofia Coppola. While it is yet to be confirmed that the star of Coppola’s video is the star of this ad campaign, we do know one thing: Coppola filmed the video last October in Marrakesh — and judging by the Moroccan-style tile work in the background of this image, it looks like this photo may have been shot there as well.

The H&M For Marni collection hits stores March 8.

 

The Next Macy’s Designer Is Alberta Ferretti

Alberta Ferretti’s Impulse collection hits Macy’s stores April 17. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, the 30-piece capsule is comprised of peasant blouses, abstract floral prints, and voile dresses, and will be priced from $49 to $119. “The collection I created is fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style,” Ferretti explained. “She appeals to an international consumer as well as an American consumer, and her fabrications are very soft, very feminine, chiffon-like, drapey, comfortable, and really pretty, yet they look very elegant,” Macy’s executive vice president of marketing, Martine Reardon, said of the retailer’s choice to collaborate with Ferretti. The collection will be available in 185 Macy’s stores nationwide for 10 weeks.
