Watch Behind-the-Scenes on Hailee Steinfeld’s Miu Miu Campaign Set, Captured by Bruce Weber

As part of Miu Miu’s Fall 2011 ad campaign — which shows Hailee Steinfeld lounging in grass, munching on pizza, and sitting on a railroad — Bruce Weber also captured the actress in motion for his new five-minute short film for the brand, “Portrait of Hailee.” See the ad images in motion in the video, and starting in October, MiuMiu.com will host an “animated web book” of images taken on the Miami set while the campaign was captured in May.

Watch: Abbey Lee In Pierre Balmain

Balmain–and its new diffusion line Pierre Balmain–is all about rock n’ roll. So who better to embody that sensibility than the awesomely rad, platinum-haired Abbey Lee, who in addition to being an A-list model, also fronts the band Our Mountain. Sigh. Could she be any cooler? (Answer: no)

Shot and by directed by Inez and Vinoodh in their signature black-and-white, the video follows Abbey Lee and her band–including boyfriend and the band’s front man Matthew Hutchinson–around Brooklyn and Manhattan as they set up for a gig and frolic around the city, while, yes, looking devastatingly cool, clad in Pierre Balmain.

After watching the sleek video, it’s possible I’m even more excited for the diffusion line to hit stores this coming spring. Now if only we could figure out a way to purchase Abbey Lee’s rock n’ roll lifestyle, too…

It’s bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Styles won’t arrive until Nov. 13, but I have a sneak peek of Gwen Stefani‘s upcoming Harajuku Mini collection for Target.

The retailer has released the first official photo featuring the pop star (and mom-of-two!) with an adorable little girl modeling an outfit from the line. And everything is beyond cute!

“Harajuku Mini is a dream come true,” Stefani, 41, told WWD. ”I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan.”

Available in sizes 6 months to 16Y, the collection will range from $4 to $30.

And it will include everything from graphic tees and zip-up hoodies to tutu skirts and ballet flats.

“Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices,” Stefani said.

Color Up

Keep the bright days of Summer going well into Fall by gleaning a little inspiration from this street-snapped look, straight from the streets of London Fashion Week. While it may be tempting to play it safe by teaming bright pants with neutral basics, this ensemble prooves that mixing it up can be way more chic. The secret to getting it right? Use basic color theory and keep the main colors within the same color temperature. Here, cool teal blue works well with the merlot hue of the top, tying in perfectly with the purple undertones of the bag. A neutral fur vest and black shoes ground the look; a mint bracelet provides a bit of tonal pop. Click through to shop our similar finds to make this style your own.

Trendspotting: Funny Sunnies

Let’s hope next spring is a sunny one because designers are putting their best lenses forward for spring 2012. From Giles’ kooky cartoon glasses to Rag & Bone’s goggle-like shades. Next spring’s eyewear isn’t joking around, but it certainly is funny looking. Would you wear such kooky sunglasses? I don’t know if I will.
